These decorative egg cups, super quick to make from recycled materials,
look great on a rustic table or in country-style setting. Here, the eggs have been painted with a few strokes of gouache.
Saw a different-sized disks of wood from a branch.
Use wire cutters to cut a 2 to 2¾ in (5 to 7 cm)-deep piece of chicken wire that includes the edge.
Shape the wire, with the edge on top, to form the egg cup, using an egg to check the size.
Place the wooden disk inside the circle of wire, staple the wire to the wood, and close the circle with some wire.
