Wildflowers are a constantly renewed source of raw materials for framed pictures
that are beautiful to look at and also instructive.
The next time you gather a bouquet of wildflowers, choose the most beautiful specimens and lay them on some blotter paper.
Use small bits of masking tape to position the stems, leaves and flowers for pressing.
Cover with more paper and some heavy books. Wait about one week.
Check the plants on a regular basis and change any stained paper.
When the pressed flowers are ready, arrange them on handmade or Kraft paper.
The masking tape holding the flowers in place also adds a decorative touch.
In your best calligraphy, make a label with the common and scientific names of the flower species or variety.
