wall murals

wall murals Plant-theme wall decals and stickers are in vogue. This is the perfect opportunity to rediscover a technique known as the "projector method" to create wall murals. This method consists of outlining shadows produced on a wall. There is no need to know how to draw. With this method, you can easily reproduce a beautiful leafy branch, a delicate bouquet of orchids or a single flower. You can also use this technique to paint on a canvas.

Draw the curtains in the room that you want to decorate. Prepare a directional light source, like an architect's desk lamp with an articulated arm. Put the branches in a vase filled with dirt or sand to prop them in the position you want. Adjust the shadow to obtain the shape and position you want. The farther away you move from the wall, the larger the shadow grows.

First, outline the shadow using a hard pencil (H or 2H). Then, choose a felt-tip marker in a color that is close to the paint color you plan to use, and go over the pencil outline again. Use a soft watercolor brush with an excellent pointed tip, like a squirrel hair brush, and sufficiently diluted paint, to paint just inside the marker line. Then, fill in, painting normally. If the room is humid, protect your wall mural with varnish.
