a natural Christmas wreath

natural Christmas wreath

Winter offers up its evergreen leaves, delicate flowers and scented cones to make wondrous Christmas wreathes. If you are observant, you can collect a pretty assortment of ivy, supple branches, pinecones, conifer fruit and berries during an afternoon walk.

woven tree branch wreath ivy wreath Twist three supple branches and bend them into a circle with about a 25 cm (10 in) diameter. Wrap some wire around it for extra strength. Add more branches, using another wire to hold them. When you are satisfied with the shape, make a loop to hang it from.

Adorn the wreath with the ivy, then the winter blossoms and berries. Discreetly attach each decorative addition using fine wire.
